Gustav A. Enquist I seek to capture the passing of moments, to fix a place and time before it lapses into another. The image of a given instant and locality is a unique imprint of the present tense, a sense of location within the flight of time. In every picture there is a story to reveal, a trace of history within a set of associations, languages, culture, and political context. By looking around, we gather a sense of location, a glimpse of what here may appear like from another stance. I find inspiration in the work and lives of others, in travel, music, literature, history, and visual art. I am curious how the present unfolds within the narrow passage between the past and future, the contrast between everyday life and the distinct moments that we cherish. |
In addition to earning a masters degree in political science at Lund University, I have studied history and European languages while living in Italy, France, Germany, Spain, etc. I am currently based in Malmö, Sweden. My photographic services are available for on location shoots of landscapes, architecture, portraits, and special events. My pieces are also available for framed display in places of business.
